🧰 Complete disaster-recovery backup
Dad can download one self-contained ZIP with David’s database, actual private media, Home assets, the exact application deployment package, database reconstruction SQL and integrity hashes.
🔐 Account security
Change your Dad/Mum cloud password after re-entering the current password. The Supabase server-side 12-character complexity policy still applies.
🧭 Data integrity
V2.7 retains server-controlled update timestamps, event timezone metadata and optimistic version checks so Dad and Mum cannot silently overwrite the same Memory when editing from different devices.
↩️ Restore
The V2.7 backup includes the exact application deployment package, production database migration snapshot, integrity hashes and restore instructions alongside the family archive. Automatic Restore remains intentionally disabled until the recovery flow is tested against a separate environment, so a backup can never overwrite production by mistake.
Media storage
V2.5 prepares photos on your phone before they are uploaded to David’s private storage.
Default photo mode
Optimized photos are capped at 3000 px on the longest edge with high visual quality. A 720 px thumbnail is created for faster Library, Timeline and Chapter browsing. The optimized viewing copy is newly encoded, so unnecessary EXIF metadata is not carried into it.
Videos are kept in original quality in V2.5. Smart 1080p video optimization is a later step.
Deleted memories stay here so an accidental tap does not erase part of David’s story. You can restore them or permanently delete them when you choose.

Connect the book to a private Supabase project so Dad and Mum see the same memories and media.

Backend schema is already installed in the David Story of You Supabase project. Create/sign in to your account, then set up the private Dad/Mum family space.
